Indcoil designed and developed 3 phase Pad Mounted Transformer as per IEEE standard. The Pad Mounted Transformer consist of transformer with HV and LV side protections and having option for operation on ring feeders. The HV side consist of fuses for short circuit and thermal protection and load break switch for isolation. The LV side consist of MMCBs and fuses as per customer requirement. The HV and LV connections and protections are accessible through front open compartments having duly interlocked doors. Thus pad Mounted Transformer is complete in all respect to replace a Compact Substation.
The basic advantage lies in the smaller footprints offered by Pad Mounted Transformer compared to Compact Substation. The Pad Mounted Transformer is specifically suitable for urban distribution system wherein each Pad Mounted Transformer can cater to one building/housing complex. A hood over the tank, accessible through the cabinet, provides protection against tampering and the environment. The available range from 300kVA to 4000kVA up to 33kV primary voltage and up to 600V at secondary side.
